Boards are made from European oak and ash wood.

Manual "How to Care about my Board" will be attached to board, describing in detail how to care about your new end-grain board.
Boards come in sizes:
400x300x45 mm (15 and 3/4 x 12 x 2 in)
400x250x45 mm (15 and 3/4 x 10 x 2 in)
300x300x45 mm ( 12 x 12 x 2 in)
It is possible to make it a bit out of default size(+/- 50 mm; +/- 1 inch) on your request free of charge.
We make boards all by ourselves, we touch every board from first cuts, up to sealing box before posting. Boards will be covered with 2-3 layers(depends on wood type) of food-grade mineral or tung oil and waited for good dry between layers and before putting last coat of oil and beeswax mixture. These operations makes average waiting time up to 1 week before board can be sent away to customer. If you do not want to wait, you can choose one from available ones at this time. Recent studies led in Danish Technological Institute show and leading German, Sweden and Finland research institutes affirm information - anti-bacterial properties of the wooden accessories are better than of accessories made of other materials. It is proven that after 1st hour of test there was almost none bacteria on oak wood, it was about 2-3 hours for ash wood. In case of plastic and stainless steel accessories, bacterias were still there after 5 hour.
We send our boards in a wooden box, to prevent any impact damage or damage caused by moisture during shipping.
